Ch 5 And seeing the crowds he went up into the mountain: and sitting him approached to him the disciples of him: 2 and opening the mouth of him he taught them saying: 3 Blessed are the poor in spirit, for of them is the kingdom of the heavens. 4 Blessed are the mourning ones for they shall be comforted. 5 Blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the earth. 6 Blessed are the hungering and thirsting ones after righteousness for they shall be satisfied. 7 Blessed are the merciful, for they shall

obtain mercy 8 Blessed are the clean in heart, for they God shall see. 9 Blessed are the peacemakers for they sons of God shall be called. 10 Blessed are the ones having been persecuted for the sake of righteousness for of them in the kingdom of the havens. 11 Blessed are ye when they reproach you and persecute and say al evil against you lying for the sake of me. 12 Rejoice and be glad, because the reward of you is much in the heavens: for thus they persecuted the prophets before you.

13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt be tainted by what shall it be salted for nothing is it strong longer except being cast out to be trodden down by men. 14 Ye are the light of the world, Not can a city to be hid on a mountain

set:15 nor do they light a lamp and place it under the bushel, but on the lamp stand, and it lightens all the ones in the house. 16 thus let shine the light of you before men so that they may see of you the good works and may glorify the father of you in the heavens.
