Ch 5 And seeing the crowds he
went up into the mountain: and sitting him approached to him the
disciples of him: 2 and opening the mouth of him he taught them saying: 3
Blessed are the poor in spirit, for of them is the kingdom of
the heavens. 4 Blessed are the mourning ones for they shall be comforted.
5 Blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the earth. 6 Blessed are
the hungering and thirsting ones after righteousness for they shall be
satisfied. 7 Blessed are the merciful, for they shall

mercy 8 Blessed are the clean in heart, for they God shall see. 9 Blessed
are the peacemakers for they sons of God shall be called. 10 Blessed are
the ones having been persecuted for the sake of righteousness for of them
in the kingdom of the havens. 11 Blessed are ye when they reproach you
and persecute and say al evil against you lying for the sake of me. 12
Rejoice and be glad, because the reward of you is much in the heavens:
for thus they persecuted the prophets before you.
