9:14-17

. . . New Wines, new skins

 

9:14  Then approach to him the disciples of John saying: Why we and the Pharisees fast, but the disciples of thee fast not? 15 And said to them Jesus: not Can the sons of the bride chamber to mourn, so long as with them is the bridegroom? Will come but days when is taken away from them the bridegroom, and then they will fast.  16 no one Now puts on

a patch cloth of unfulled on garment an old; for takes away the fullness of it from the garment, and a worse rent becomes. 17 Neither do they put wine new into wineskins old: otherwise, are burst the wineskins, and the wine is poured out and the wineskins are destroyed.  But they put wine new into wineskins fresh and both are preserved.

            Note: No present participle as these are disciples of John rather than of Jesus.

9:18-19

9:18 These things him speaking to them, beyond ruler one approaching worshipped him saying.  The daughter of me just now

died; but coming lay on the hand of thee on her and she will live. 19 And rising Jesus followed him also the disciples of him.

9:20-22 .

20 And behold a woman suffering from a flow of blood twelve years approaching behind touched the fringe of the garment of him. 21 for she was saying in herself if only

I may touch the garment of him, I shall be healed.22 And Jesus turning and seeing her said: Be of good cheer, daughter, the faith of thee has healed thee. And was healed the woman from hour that.

 

16        Ignore ridicule

9:23-24

23 And coming Jesus into the house of the rule and seeing the flute-players and

the crowd terrified. 24 he said; Depart ye: not for died the girl but sleeps. And they ridiculed him.
