22:
54 And having arrested him they led and brought in into the house of the
high priests and Peter followed afar off. 55 Lighting And a fire in the
centre of the court and sitting down together sat Peter among them. 56 And seeing
him a certain maidservant sitting near the light and gazing at him said:
And this man with him was. 57 he But denied saying: I know not him, woman.
58 And after a short while another seeing him said: And thou of them art.
But Peter said: Man I am not. 59 And intervening about hour one other man a
certain emphatically asserted saying: of a truth also this man with him
was, for indeed a Galilean he is. 60 But said Peter: Man I know not what
they sayest. And at once yet speaking him sounded a cock. 61 And turning
the Lord looked at Peter and remembered Peter the word of the Lord as he
told him that

a cock to sound today thou wilt deny me thrice. 62 And going out outside he
wept bitterly. 63 And the men having in charge him mocked him beating. 64
and covering over him questioned saying: Prophesy, who is the one playing
thee? 65 And other things many blaspheming they said against him. 66 And
when came day, was assembled the body of elders of the people, both chief
priests and scribes, and led away him to the council of them. 67 saying: If
thou art the Christ, tell us. And he said to them: If you I tell by no
means will ye believe: 68 If and I question, by no means will ye answer. 69
from now But will be the Son of man sitting at the right of the power of
God. 70 And they said all: Thou therefore art the son of God? And he to
them said: Ye say that I am. 71 And they said: Why yet have we of witness
need? for ourselves we heard from the mouth of him.
