23:1 And rising up all the multitude of them led him before Pilate. 2 they began to accuse him saying: This man we found perverting the nation of us and forbidding tribute to Caesar to live, and saying himself Christ a king to be. 3 And Pilate questioned him saying: thou art the king of the Jews? And he answering him said: Thou sayest. 4 And Pilate said to the chief priest and the crows; No I find crime in man this. 5 But they insisted saying: He excites the people, teaching throughout all Judea, even beginning from Galilee to here. 6 And Pilate having questioned if the man a Galilean is(was) 7 and perceiving that of the authority of Herod he is (was) he sent up him to Herod, being also him in Jerusalem in these days. 8 And Herod seeing Jesus rejoiced greatly for he was of a long times wishing to see him because of the to hear about him, and he hoped some sign to see by him brought about. 9 And he questioned him in words many; but he nothing answered him. 10 and stood the chief priests and the scribes vehemently accusing him. 11 And despising him Herod with the soldiery of him and mocking throwing round clothing splendid sent back him to Pilate. 12 And became friends both Herod and Pilate on same the day with

each other; for they were previously in enmity being with themselves. 13 And Pilate calling together the chief priests and the leaders and the people 14 said to them: Ye brought to me man this as perverting the people, and behold I before you examining nothing found in man this crime of things which ye bring accusation against him. 15 and neither Herod, for he sent back him to us; and behold nothing worthy of death is having been done by him; 16 chastising therefore him I will release. 18 but they shouted with the whole multitude saying: Take this man and release to us Barabbas; 19 who was because insurrection some happening in the city and murder thrown in the prison. 20 but again Pilate called to them, wishing o release Jesus. 21 But they shouted saying: Crucify, crucify thou him. 22 But he a third time said to them: But what evil did this man? nothing cause of death I found in him; chastising therefore him I will release. 23 But they insisted voices with great asking him to be crucified, and prevailed the voices of them 24 And Plate decided to be carried out the request of them. 25 and he released the one because of insurrection and murder having been thrown into prison, whom they asked, but Jesus he delivered to the will of them.
